PHNI designs, builds, and maintains websites to enhance USAID's ability to share information internally and garner support for its mission of protecting human health worldwide.
Samples of PHNI Websites
Global Health Internet: This website is part of USAID's public website and provides information related to the Bureau for Global Health's (GH) programs and activities. PHNI develops and manages all content for the GH section of the USAID website. The Global Health Internet contains general and technical information, news, events, and country information related to HIV/AIDS, Maternal & Child Health, Family Planning, Infectious Diseases, Health Systems, Nutrition, and Environmental Health.
Global Health Intranet: The GH Intranet provides information for the Bureau for Global Health and missions in a number of areas such as resources, procedures, contacts, and projects. The Intranet includes dynamic capabilities that allow certain sections of the site to automatically populate from an administrator. The three dynamic applications that support the GH Intranet are as follows.
GH Notices: GH Notices allows the client to enter notices to go out to designated persons within the Bureau and the field. These notices are placed on the GH Intranet and periodically sent in mass to these designated persons with a link to the text on the Intranet.
Project & Partners Administration & Display: This application allows administrators to manager all data regarding Projects and Partners to be used in the print and dynamic versions of the GH User's Guide. This allows for more current information be distributed via the GH Intranet.
Staff Directory Administration & Display: This allows administrators to manager all information regarding staff, which is used in the print and dynamic versions of the GH User's Guide. The dynamic application allows for more current information to be distributed via the GH Intranet.
Child Health Research Program:
The Child Health Research (CHR) Program website contains information regarding the CHR Project. As part of the site, users are able to search for CHR research studies, activities, and publications by research area, research category, region, country, project and keyword.
HaRP: The HaRP website contains information regarding the HaRP Project, the follow-on to the Child Health Research Program. As part of the site, users are able to search for HaRP research studies and publications by research area, research category, region, country and keyword.
State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Website: This is a USAID website that allows USAID staff and their cooperating partners to learn about and register for upcoming trainings as well as review previous training information. The registrations feed into a Microsoft Access database that allows the administrators of the training to run reports and configure queries at the training site.
